General Studio & Booking

Crash Symphony Productions is located at 90 Ben Boyd Road, Neutral Bay, Sydney. That’s pretty close to the Sydney Harbour Bridge on the North Side of the Harbour. The closest train stations are Milson’s Point or North Sydney. We have a bus stop right across the road so if you take the 263 bus from the city it will drop you off right outside our studio. Alternatively, you can get the B1 from the northern beaches or Wynyard station and walk down the road from Neutral Bay Junction. The ferry will also get you close to our studio and it will stop at Heyes Street Wharf.
Our operating hours are mostly 10am to 10pm but we can operate all around the clock. Many of our sessions are international linkup sessions. This means we need to be able to accommodate times that are convenient for production companies on the other side of the world. We often start early for clients and continue into the late hours of the night.
You can call us to book a session or send us a text / email. We kindly request that people don’t just randomly turn up to our studio. All our sessions are by appointment only. When you call us we will have a chat about your project and get a feel for whether we are the right studio and producers for your project. If you’re a first time client we will often ask you to come into the studio for a free in-person consultation. This will help both parties to get a good feel for whether we will be a right fit for each other. Creating music and magic in the studio requires a lot of personal interaction. Making sure our clients are comfortable is paramount to the success of their project, and ultimately, our studio.
Yes. Our usual deposit request is 50% of the session fee. If you are booking only one hour with us then we require the full hour to be paid in advance. This ensures that our engineers aren’t inconvenienced by cancellations.
We are more often than not extremely lenient with cancellations. However, our formal policy is that cancellations incur the retention of session deposit and a new session and deposit will be required. For complex sessions we also request a “setup fee” of $45+GST. This is because it takes a long time for our engineers to prepare sessions and we need to compensate them for their skill and time.
Parking is available at our studio. Street parking in our area is usually pretty good. Most areas in close proximity to our studio are not metered.
Absolutely! We highly recommend that potential clients come into our studio and meet our engineers and look at the space. This is an obligation-free meeting and viewing of the studio and gives each person involved the opportunity to decide whether the studio is good for them or not.
Our recording studio has an enormous amount of high quality recording equipment. Our main focus is on getting extremely high quality vocal recordings for both media, film, music, and other voice over requirements. We don’t use the historically traditional large audio console like you might see at Abbey Road studios. Instead, we have elected to go for a palate of different sound preamplifiers, compressors, Equalisers, reverbs, and other outboard gear.
Yes. Our portfolio of clients include many independent musicians and artists, corporate clients, film companies, creative agencies, and government organisations. Music makes up about 60 - 70% of our work.
